Bicycle Education

Classes are conducted by certified cycling instructors. Held Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Rec Center. FREE!

Motorist Education (ages 16 & up)
Learn how to share the roads with bicyclists.
Classes held 4/10

Smart Cycling (ages 16 & up)
Bicycle education and basic maintenance and equipment (helmet & bike) for adults.

Women's Basketball: January-April

Get off the bleachers and join in! If you're looking for an enjoyable way to get back into basketball and stay active, look no further. Players of all abilities participate. Games are played in School District of Lancaster gyms.

If you are an individual who is looking to be placed on a team, register for the Free Agent Program. You will be placed on a list and contacted about being placed on a team. You can also attend the Captain's Meeting and talk to the captains about being placed on a team.

Coed Dodgeball: February-April

Everyone's favorite game from gym class! If you thought it was fun in grade school, wait until you give it a try as an adult. Teams enjoy an exhilarating game of skill and strategy. Recreational and competitive divisions are offered for teams of 7 with a minimum of 2 women per team. Games are played in School District of Lancaster gyms. Click here for results. Coed Softball: April-September and September-November

Step up to the plate! Our coed softball leagues offer competition in a recreational atmosphere for teams of 10 (5 men-5 women). Officials are certified through the Amateur Softball Association. Games are played at Conlin Field, School District of Lancaster fields, Lancaster County Central Park and Lancaster Community Park.

Adult Tennis Lessons (April-October)

Serving up aces! Our beginner tennis programs emphasize fun and fitness. Learn and refine the skills that make tennis fun and great exercise for a lifetime. Lessons are held at Buchanan Park tennis courts.

Volleyball: September-March and May-August

'Serving up' excitement and competition for decades! Recreational and competitive levels for Coed, Men's and Women's teams of 6 players. Fall/winter season is played in School District of Lancaster gyms; summer leagues are 3-on-3 and played outdoors at Buchanan Park.

Coed Kickball: September-November

Get a 'kick' out of this old favorite playground game! Teams of 10 (at least 3 women) lace up their sneakers in a sport which captures the true essence of recreation. Games are played at Lancaster Community Park.
