Child Care Director:
The Lancaster Recreation Commission is seeking a positive, motivated Child Care Center Director with previous experience. The director is responsible to supervise staff, oversee day-to-day operations, ensure all Department of Human Services regulations are followed, maintain a Star 4 Keystone Stars rating, be team oriented, and skilled in communication. Qualifications include 2 years of experience working in ECE, and previous Center Director experience. Educational requirements include a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field. Assistant Group Supervisors for Before and After School and Infant through Preschool
The Lancaster Recreation Commission is currently seeking Assistant Group Supervisors for our Infant, Preschool and School Age Programs. Hours are Monday through Friday and vary depending on site. Candidates must have at least two years' experience working with children and a CDA/SAC Credential or 12 college credits in education. Position requires working hands-on with children and assisting the Site Director with lesson plans, observations, assessments, and other required paper work for the site. Site Directors for Before and After School
The Lancaster Recreation Commission is currently seeking for Site Directors for our Before and After School Programs. The hours are Monday through Friday 6:30 to 8:45 a.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. plus planning time. The second Wednesday of each month After School begins at 12 p.m. Staff is required and paid to attend meetings and trainings to meet the guidelines for Keystone Stars and DHS. The position is part time, 28-30 hours per week. Candidates must possess a degree in education or a related field with a minimum of 30 credits in elementary or early childhood education and have a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children. Site Directors are responsible for managing staff on-site, planning and implementing daily program activities, abiding by all DHS and Keystone Stars regulations. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and be self-starters. Part-time Building Security:
Workers needed for weeknight hours (ranging from 6 to 10:15 p.m.) and Saturday hours (ranging from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Responsibilities include monitoring who enters the building, and ensuring that program areas are left in proper condition. Training is provided.
